Barnsley Resort, One of The Few Surviving Antebellum Gardens of the South

Barnsley Resort is one of the most sought-after romantic venues in the South. It’s a southern historic site located a few miles from I-75 near Adairsville, Georgia.

The story behind the luxurious Italianate Manor House built in the late 1840s was our focal point when creating the design for the styled shoot. Unfortunately, all we have today are the ruins of the Manor House as the roof of the house was blown off by a tornado in 1906. However, the Manor House garden has survived all the unfortunates of this place, and is today one of the few surviving antebellum gardens of the southern United States.
